Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is an action-adventure video game developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation 3. It is the sequel to the 2007 game Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. It was first shown and announced on December 1st 2008. Officially announced in the January 2009 issue of Game Informer, it was released in October 2009. A major critical and commercial success, it was named by Metacritic as the most critically acclaimed game of 2009, and won Game of the Year awards on IGN, Giant Bomb, AIAS, X-Play, Reviews on the Run, Game Developers Choice Awards, and the Spike Video Game Awards for the year 2009.
